MLB Players Support for Curt Flood Suit December 13, 1969

On December 13, 1969, Curt Flood went before the MLB Players’ Association Executive Board and asked for financial assistance for his litigation against Major League Baseball. He was attempting to prove that the reserve clause was a violation of antitrust laws. The board voted 25-0 in favor of supporting Flood. It didn’t help his career at all, but now there are hundreds of baseball playing multi-millionaires who have Curt Flood to thank for their life styles.
